The historic Karamu House Performing Arts Center, a regional theatre and community center in Cleveland, Ohio with a $2 million annual operating budget, is seeking an individual to fill the newly created position of Program Director of Cultural Arts Education and Outreach.
This position will be part of Karamu House senior leadership team, reporting to the Executive Director with operational responsibility for cultural arts education programs; for youth and adults; outreach programs and workshops and in-house special programs. Key job skills required include administrative management; program development; community relations and marketing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in fine arts, business, education or a related field.
- Three to five years experience in arts education programs, or arts management
- Experience supervising staff, budget preparation and control and program outcomes measurement
- Appreciation of the arts as a vital part of our education system and society in general
Compensation range $40-$60,000 annually commensurate with experience
